blessings of god be yours…

father god, i thank you . several hurt feelings and troubles chocked me during the past days.  yet you were my refuge and my strength o god! i thank you! father god your ways are so exalted and praise worthy! i surrender my troubles and sufferings at your holy feet !
lord so many fears and sufferings suffocate me during this new year!
how can i run my family ? where can i get a job for my son? how will i get my daughter married? how can i manage to help my sickly mother? at this moment when all these fears and doubts press me down, i fall prostrate at your feet in this new year o god !
lord , you are the author of all age and time ! lord god you are the creator of the wide universe and all that is within ! everything belongs to you ! i surrender all my ways to you o my god !  i surrender all my anxieties of  what would happen the next day, what might happen the  next month or what would happen the next year. i lay them all before you my god.
i cling to your feet in faith and trust ! lord you are  so good and all powerful ! you created everything and lead it forward with your concern and care ! i place my feet on your foot prints o god, that i may follow only your path . father god i thank you ! lord i know that you will act on my behalf .
 of what need i be troubled ? of what should i feel deprived? of what shall i fear?
father god, all my fears, all the doubts that arise in my heart, and all the tensions of my mind, i surrender them all at your holy feet.
thankyou my god ! all the days to come belong to you .all the pathways that i tread are the paths led by you. lord god, it is in your paths, in your thoughts, and in your light, that i tread. thankyou my god ! lead me on.

beloved in christ…

“they feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.”                                                                                   ( psalm 36:8)

we have set our foot in a new year. the new year 2009. while we mention about the new year, several memories of incidents that caused us pain, might flash across our mind’s eye. we are aware of the several painful incidents that happened in our country and within our own families.
behold, may this new year be a year of grace,  a fruitful year, a year of fulfillment! may our steadfast faith in god and faith in ourselves rule us through out the year!
the prosperity of the house of god! this fills the hearts of the faithful. god himself will lead us forward to quench our thirst in his divine fountain. his life-giving spring will flow into our hearts aplenty .
well, in this new year , may the faith we have in god ,  and the unshakeable belief in him rule our families like the pair of eyes ! let all the sufferings that arise out of our old ways be placed at the feet of god.
god will always fill us with sweetness. there is a beautiful story in the old testament. when god was leading the people in the wilderness, it is said that there flowed this river mar’ah which tasted very bitter. our loving father turned that bitter water into a sweet one. similarly also in our lives, our god is able to transform all our bitterness to sweetness.

our god who can change water into sweet wine, the one who is the life-giving fountain ! he calls us: “ come to me all you who thirst. come to me all those who hunger. i will feed you. i will give you all that you desire. why do you slog tirelessly for things that cannot satisfy you? come now to me. i will give you fulfillment. why do you run about and tire yourselves over things that cannot quench your thirst and thus waste your time? come you all to me. you will be satisfied to the brim from my life-giving fountain. you will be sheltered under the shadow of my wings.”
i wish you all joy. may this year be one where we find shelter under the wings of our god. may the fullness and prosperity of god’s house, fill our hearts and our homes ! may we quench our thirst in his spring. i wish you joy !

prayer for success in exams for students

"......wisdom, the fashioner of all things....
there is in her a spirit that is intelligent, holy,
unique, manifold, subtle,
mobile, clear, unpolluted,
distinct, invulnerable, loving the good, keen,
irresistible....
beneficent, humane,
steadfast, sure, free from anxiety,

o god almighty
i praise you and thank you!
o source of wisdom
i praise you!
all adoration and worship
belong to you alone!
o god, you created me and care for me
by the power of your wisdom!
you deserve all our praises and
thanksgiving!
o god, source of all wisdom,
fill me with your wisdom and
guide me in the light of that wisdom!
i surrender to your mighty power
all my deeds and thoughts
all my emotions and the depth of my being!
o god, touch me and guide me
in all my studies, plans and projects,
in all my trials and exams!
guide me, in the fullness of your wisdom!
keep me always in your presence,
that i may be pure and intelligent,
that i may be pleasing to you!
bless me, god, o lord!
virgin mary, holy mother of god,
o seat of wisdom,
pray for me!
