BLESSINGS OF GOD BE YOURS…

“ I lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence does my help come ? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”                            (Psalm 121:1-2)

Father God, we the citizens of Your Kingdom fall prostrate before Your presence.
I lay down at Your Feet turning my gaze on You.
Whom can I confide with and from whom can I seek help? Lord, You alone know all my needs and my longings even before I ask You!
I need good health for my physique. My whole family stands in need of good health.
Lord! Grant that the children  in my family study well ,and may they mature with good training and be well employed.
Bless their marriage and let us see them all in a good state in life O Lord! With all these longings laden in my heart, I fall at Your Feet, my Jesus !
Father God, many were the longings I bore in my heart and still bear.

LORD! You who will fulfill all our wishes! I fall now at Your Feet surrendering every heart beat of mine in Your Presence. LORD! You alone can help me.
Not only for me LORD ! those who have asked me, my family members, all those who see my face, those who requested prayers, I place them all at Your Feet.
At this moment when I wonder helplessly where I could ever turn for help, it is to You I turn, as I gaze on Your Loving Face! May I gain grace, within Your Loving glance!

You are the God towering above the hills ! You are the Creator of Heaven and earth! You rule over all things O GOD ! Father God, You make us whole and satiate our needs !
You know all my physical needs! You know the longings of my heart! You are aware of the troubles in my family! You know the sufferings of my children, my parents!
LORD ! those who trust in You, will never be ashamed ! LORD, You are the God who pays heed to those who lay at Your Feet, trusting in You alone !

LORD ! Grant me my heart’s desires ! I thank You ! You are The Holy, The Powerful One ! You are The Good and Faithful God! You are The God who fulfills all Your promises ! You Father God listen to the prayers of the poor! Answer me O LORD, as I lay prostrate at Your Feet. Fulfill all my needs. LORD, bless me.
I thank You a million for paying heed to my prayers, Loving God !

THE MOTHER OF JESUS WHO FULFILLS THE DIVINE WILL OF GOD !

And his mother and his brothers came ; and standing outside they  sent to him and called him. And a crowd was sitting about him; and they said to him, “ Your mother and your brothers are outside, asking for you.” And he replied, “ Who are my  mother and my brothers?” And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “ Here are my mother and my brothers ! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.”                                                                                     (Mark 3:31-35)

Some among those who read this passage raise a doubt whether Jesus had ostracized His mother. But if we were to ponder, think deep and consider His mental make-up, the situation in which He spoke the words, and the inner meaning of it all, we come to realize how He raises up the state of Mother Mary to one worth emulating.

Jesus was overjoyed being in the midst of His beloved apostles and those who came to hear His Word. He makes us realize the indelible fact of the essence of hearing the Word of God, Bearing the Word of God in our hearts and leading our lives based on the Word, as it should be the aim of every  person of faith to fashion his/her life on this strong foundation. It was in this meaning that Mother Mary listened to the Word of God and walked in faith. “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord”, so praised Elizabeth of the Virgin Mary.
(Luke 1:45)

The Blessed Virgin Mary listened to The Word of God and carried the Word. She carried and bore Jesus from the moment She gave birth to Him on the stable at Bethlehem to the moment of His Death on Calvary. She had mingled one with His feelings and His whole Self , stayed with Him in His Joys and in His sorrows and lived solely for Him. It is very difficult to find another disciple like the Mother of Jesus!

SHE FULFIILS THE WILL OF GOD

Her Motherhood is wholly hidden in this: She had consecrated Herself completely to God. When the Archangel Gabriel delivered the Message from God saying, “ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.”  And Mary said, “Behold , I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it  be to me according to your word.” 
(Luke1 :38)

The words pronounced by Mother Mary were symbolic of Her consecration. From that very moment She bore the Word of God. She sacrificed Herself completely for The Word. Her Motherhood was formed by Her Faith and Sacrifice !

Hence Mother Mary was ordained to be the Mother of God in two ways.

1. She bore the Lord physically in Her womb. She was thus the Lord’s own Body and His Nerve. Our Lord’s Flesh and Blood took Its form from Her ! Thus She was a life breathing Body of the Lord. It was due to this that Jesus loved His Mother as His own Life’s breathe. How can He ostracize His own Life’s breathe?
2. Not only on the physical level, is Her Motherhood! She became a Mother also in fulfilling the will of God .She is The Mother of God due to Her faith, Her consecration and sacrifice. She thus fulfilled the design of God. This was the Source of Her Power and Grace.

WHAT DOES FULFILLING THE WILL OF GOD MEAN ?

Mother Mary not only heard the Word of God, She accepted all the sufferings, and tribulations that came due to bearing The Word. Whatever the insults, the sufferings, She lived bearing them, all for the sake of The Word. By living thus, She thwarted the evil designs of satan. She brushed aside the attractions and fancies of the world.

She did not allow the attractions of the world and the fame and name that comes with worldly wealth to ever destroy The Word of God that She had heard.

The Word of God bore a hundred percent fruit in Her. The Word of God was born as Infant Jesus through her womb. He who was born, grew under Her care. She walked along with Him even as He carried The Cross to the peak of Calvary . She bore Him standing on Calvary even as He sacrificed Himself on the Cross.

She fulfilled the Word of God remaining the Life and Body of Jesus.

A faithful receives his /her motherhood by living a life of witness , by bearing the sufferings and insults that come as a result of bearing the Word of God in our body and our breathe .It was only due to this faith that the Virgin Mary crushed the head of satan.
She thus belonged completely to the Lord.  And it was to Her that our Lord pointed out as reference when He said, “ BEHOLD ! YOUR MOTHER. “ 
Happy are those who hear the Word of God and follow It !
